The Shelter Systems uses a unique, patented technique to ensure that each shelter can withstand a three-bar blast.

Innovative Construction using the following components :

Old style - with 180 degree rain hood

These steel ventilation pipes for use in underground shelters. Every shelter
needs an air intake and an air exhaust duct for true ventilation.

These pipes are 4-inch diameter welded steel pipes that are shipped with a primer finish.

They feature a pre-drilled mounting plate that mounts to the outside of your shelter -
either the ceiling or the wall.

The Blast Valves mount directly to the shelter wall over the ventilation pipes with the included concrete wedge anchors.

The ventilation pipes can be poured in place or installed after the concrete has cured with the included concrete wedge anchors and heavy duty neoprene gasket.

Shown in the picture to the left is a set of old style ventilation pipes that are made to go through the ceiling of a shelter.

Note that the tops are swept through 180 degrees and the bottoms have the mounting plates
welded in place.

Note that we have updated this design - we now terminate the top of the pipes with a heavy duty removable steel rain hood that houses a removable (and cleanable) insect screen.

They also appear to be "stanchions" not "battleship air scoops" in order to minimize the possibility of someone spotting the location of your underground shelter.

These ventilation ducts are built to order.
