Our Homes are constructed of on site poured reinforced concrete utilizing
Our aluminum forming system with a reusable fiber-glass dome form which
provides you with a cathedral Ceiling.
The Domed Design gives the Structure nearly 20 times as much strength as a Flat
Roofed Structure.
We have NEVER experienced a structural failure due to the fact that we use
approximately 2 1/2 Tons of grade 60 reinforcing rod [ rebar ] in Each Module.
Each Module is either 30' x 30' [ 28' x 28' inside dimensions ], or 26' x 26' [ 24 x 24'
inside dimensions ].
Each 28' Module consists of 900 square feet for the first one, and 875 square feet
in each additional one used due to a common wall between Modules.
The Apex of the dome on a 28' module is 13' 6". Any wall of a 28' module can have
up to a 20' opening.
It can be arched or a rectangular opening, or a single or double door,
or what ever else you desire.
The dome actually curves up the same from all four walls like a box with
sidewalls that has a bubble on top. No load bearing walls are needed inside.
The Only walls used are dividing walls for bedrooms, baths, etc.
Each 26' module consists of 675 square feet for the first one, and 640 square feet
for each additional one used due to a common wall between modules.
The apex of this dome size is 12'. Any wall of a 26' module can be opened up to 16'.
The modules may be poured in any number and in any direction using
Full and Half Modules or flat roofed additions up to 15' 4" in width that
may be poured as they are or added to any edge of a module to give the
desired square footage.
We can Build 2 Stories with No Problem, even with a Basement.
We can furnish you with any style of a Home that will fit your desires and style of
living, including a single story, an " L " shaped rambler, a two story , split entrance,
anything you might want .
You may use a Module or a Flat roofed addition for a Garage.
Our Earth Sheltered Homes can be built on any type of lot as well. It needs not
to have a slope, as it can be Built right on the Flat area and then covered up.
The advantage of a sloped or hill side lot is that the soil that you excavate away
to build the home can be used to cover the structure.
Plus a hill side lot will give you a panoramic view and may be less costly to buy
if the lot is un-buildable for a conventional home.
Our Structures can be used for Commercial Structures as well as Energy efficient
Homes and are extremely quiet. We offer you a Home or Commercial Structure
that is virtually maintenance free.
You can use stone, stucco, brick, or White Cedar or Pine Log Siding for your
exterior, you should have little or no maintenance on the homes lifetime.
Our Homes are actually lighter inside than a conventional home because of
the reflection off the domed ceiling.
With all the many advantages over a conventional home,
our homes cost no more than a similar priced conventional home in your area ,
and in many cases less.
With the lower Energy Cost , you may afford a larger home
without the same high price for excess energy usage, used by a conventional home.
The basic structure shall consist of footings, sidewalls, and domes all
Monolithically Poured at the same time, with NO cold joint at the roof line.
Not covered on the Basic Shell Price is the overhangs, parapet walls, retaining walls.
Also not include in the Basic Shell Price is the finishing that includes,
electrical, plumbing, heating, carpentry,
[ including door and windows ], plastering or tongue and Groove walls,floors,
floor coverings, kitchen cabinets, painting and staining, and exterior finish,
which can be done in whatever you desire, provided by YOUR Builder or
Yourself.
A Berm home is defined as a home built on flatland construction or a very
small hill, and earth covered to form your own mountain.
A Berm home could have one face open and three faces covered.
It could have covering from side to side and the top only,
leaving the home open in the front and rear -- a "see-through home".
Or a Berm home could have one side earth contact so that
the top and three sides of the home are open.
An Atrium Earth Sheltered Home is normally configured in some type of "U"
configuration.
This type of home could also be called a "courtyard" style.
A courtyard could be a literal courtyard or it may be a private enclosed area with a
swimming pool.
This type of home is normally lower than the road elevation, so that the top of the
house is earth level or slightly above the road in order to put a garage and second
entrance on top for the house .
This would also enable to the top for the house to be used
as a second play area, as a covered porch, or as a garden.
Elevational design is an Earth Sheltered Home that is built into the
side of a hill which is normally larger than the home.
This type of home often has only one side open and three sides and the top covered.
It is the most energy efficient design because
there is more thermal mass (more dirt) surrounding the home.
Many options are available depending upon floor plan and type
of architectural style you choose.
For instance, if the entrance comes from above you can
put a garage and more living space above the house.
This allows for a superstructure that also creates more space
(a second and even third floor) and direct access to the garage
up a flight of stairs - or even an elevator.
You will also get more cooling due to the shade of the structure
at the surface, AND you can take advantage of the "chimney effect"
which draws hot air up and out, cooling and ventilating your whole house.
It is often possible store heating or cooling energy in the thermal mass
by taking advantage of natural ventilation features,
resulting in even better energy savings.
